The Secret Life of Bees by: Sue Monk Kidd

What a wonderful book to read; girls if you like an interesting book, page turning book, then this is the book to read. I wouldn't recommend boys to read the book, but if you like a sad, love telling book then boys you will enjoy.
Lily what a girl she was! Her life was set around the last memories of her mother and the night she died. Lily trapped in a house with a man who, God forbid, allowed her to act anything like a girl. Raised by Rosaleen- black woman who had a mouth on her! never did she hold anything back, and that is where all the trouble began.
The day Rosaleen decided to insult three of the most racist white men in town, was the day Lily got the strength to set not only herself but also Rosaleen free...
Lily not really having a plan on where to go decides to leave and go to a town called Tiburon, South Carolina- a town where she will discover her mother's past.
In this new place that Lily and Rosaleen goes to, they are introduced to a world of strong, independent, beautiful, hard working black women. But most important the WONDERFUL world of Bees and honey...
